The Centre has three rooms which provide a spacious, warm and inviting environment for all our children. The rooms are separated as below:
- Wombat/Wumbat Room: 18 months – 2.5 years
- Kookaburra/Guganigine Room: 2.5 years – 4 years
- Echidna/Barrugin Room: 4 years +
Although the routines of each room and age group vary, they have the Centre philosophy and curriculum aspects as their foundation. We endeavour to provide a warm and caring environment at the Centre where the children feel comfortable and secure at all times and our daily routines reflect this.
Throughout the day the children will experience a number of different activities which are part of the educational and developmental programs operated by all of our Educators.
Each room has their daily routine on display and these are available for parents to read. Parents’ questions relating to these can be answered by the appropriate Educators. We have summer and winter routines, which adapt to weather conditions.
Our Outdoor Space
The Centre offers an amazing outdoor environment where the children are offered endless opportunities to interact with nature and natural resources. Children are regularly encouraged to participate in the gardening and caring for the environment. As our space is so large, we are able to incorporate large gross motor equipment as well as spaces for children to create and relax.
Our Kitchen
We provide morning tea, a hot lunch and afternoon tea for the children. All meals are varied and nutritious, following the NSW dietary guidelines, and are prepared in our kitchen which is on site. The current menu is displayed outside the kitchen door for parents and carers to see. Families are required to bring a piece of fruit daily which is shared with the groups throughout the day. We are a nut free Service.
