St Stephen’s Children’s Centre is a community-based non-profit long day-care centre.  It is an incorporated association which was established in 1999. St Stephen’s Children’s Centre is run by a Management Committee which consisits of both church and parent representatives; however, the Centre is legally a separate incorporation with no religious affiliation.

We have places for 46 children per day between the ages of 18 months – 6 years. We offer a Preschool program for the older children, and have specialist educators who visit the Centre to run regular extra-curricular activities such as music and French. We offer an abundance of outdoor education in our amazing outdoor environment where the children are offered endless opportunities to interact with nature and natural resources, including gardening and caring for the environment.

We provide freshly cooked nutritional meals – morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea which are prepared by a qualified and experienced cook. All dietary requirements are easily catered for.

Our staff turnover is minimal, we respect our staff as much as we respect the families and children. This is reflected in the dedication and commitment they have to the environment and program.

Hours of Operation

The Centre is open from 8.00am to 4.00pm (short day) or 5.30pm (long day). We are open for 48 weeks of the year and only close for public holidays and approximately 4 weeks over the Christmas / New Year Period. We do not charge for public holidays.
